CloudLinux turns shared hosting into a secure environment with guaranteed resources per account. On LimeNetwork servers every customer lives in a separate LVE container — no overlaps, no performance drops.
CloudLinux OS is the operating system we run on all LimeNetwork shared and WordPress hosting servers. It's an enterprise Linux distribution based on RHEL/CentOS Stream, built specifically for high-security multi-tenant hosting environments.
The key technology is LVE (Lightweight Virtual Environment): every hosting account is isolated in a container with dedicated and guaranteed CPU, RAM, I/O and process resources. This means another user's site on the same server can't slow yours down, even under DDoS attack or anomalous consumption — the classic "noisy neighbor" problem typical of low-cost hosting.
CloudLinux also includes CageFS, a filesystem virtualization that prevents a compromised account from seeing or accessing other users' files, and HardenedPHP, which keeps older PHP versions (5.x, 7.x) safely active for legacy applications without exposing the server to known vulnerabilities.
CPU, RAM, processes and I/O assigned per account: no competition between users.
Virtualized filesystem per account: a compromised site can't see the others.
PHP 5.6, 7.x and 8.x available in parallel with HardenedPHP security patches.
No performance drops at end of month or during others' traffic peaks.
Kernel patching without reboot: zero downtime for security updates.
Multiple versions of Ruby, Python and Node.js installable from the panel.
